Electrical Engineer / Electrical Engineering Specialist

Position Overview:

Complete electrical design of electrical systems, electrical installation design, and control system design. The Electrical Engineer will work across a variety of functional groups that are directly involved in engineering and implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize applicable engineering national and local codes.
  • Develop and/or review schematics and one-line drawings.
  • Design duct bank, embedded conduit, cable tray, grounding, and lighting systems from concept to completion.
  • Prepare electrical equipment specifications for MCC’s, VFD’s, and electrical equipment selection.
  • Review specifications, drawings and vendor equipment documentation from both within the electrical engineering discipline and with other engineering disciplines for compliance with the project requirements.
  • Perform calculations to check cable sizing, conduit, and cable tray allowable fill according to NEC.
  • Participate in project meetings as required.
  • Organize, integrate, review, and approve buyout parts and devices.
  • Organize, develop, and maintain drawings and bills of materials.
  • Coordinate with project management to ensure compliance with the project schedule.
  • Interact with other IAC departments, customers, and suppliers as required for technical support of the business.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience working for a design company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Or Engineering Technology
  • AutoCAD Electrical experience required.
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code (NFPA Articles 70, 70E, 79).
  • Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) Programming knowledge is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience with electrical design projects including coordination with other engineering disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in low & medium voltage power distribution, equipment/protective device sizing, and power system studies.
  • Demonstrated experience with single line diagrams, area classifications, power and control schematics, wiring design, raceway design specific to tray and conduit systems, lighting and grounding design, and electrical installation details.
  • Understanding of engineering specifications with motors, transformers, MCC’s, VFD’s, and UPS systems.
  • Communicate with the distributor, customer and end user to manage expectations.
  • Build project schedules and manage projects from purchase order to completion.
  • Host periodic project meetings – internally and externally
  • Experience with MS Office Suite products.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation and Siemens is a plus.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to handle multiple project tasks. Excellent presentation and written communication skills, time management, and organizational skills are required.
  • Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines, be self-directed, exhibit good business judgment, and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
  • Excellent verbal, written, technical, conceptual, and organizational skills.

Human Resources Generalist

Position Overview:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing human resource duties at a professional level. In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities, the HR Generalist drives talent management activities; resolves employee relations issues; monitors compliance; processes payroll, and oversees company HR programs and special projects that support the company goals. The position provides coaching and guidance for HR-related matters to employees at all levels in the organization. The HR Generalist acts as a role model by consistently demonstrating the highest level of professionalism, performance, and ethical integrity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct employee onboarding and help organize training & development initiatives.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies.
  • Assists with preparation of birthday, holiday, anniversary and employee appreciation celebrations.
  • Manages the attendance policy, monitoring and tracking attendance and related disciplinary notices.
  • Performs HRIS data entry and personnel file maintenance.
  • Process paperwork for all employee changes including but not limited to new hires, terminations, change in department.
  • Manage recruitment processes: sourcing, screening, interviewing, pre-employment testing and on-boarding.
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form.
  • Schedule interviews with hiring manager, leaders, and staff as needed.
  • Process payroll on a weekly basis and compile data into spreadsheets and the payroll system (Paychex Flex).
  • Verify timekeeping records and consult employees about any discrepancies.
  • Train and instruct employees in the proper use of payroll related systems including entry of timesheets, online access of pay statements.
  • Ensure efficient operation of the department by performing clerical duties such as filing, scanning, faxing, photocopying, etc.
  • Process and maintain benefit enrollments for employees.
  • Help with other HR related functions as needed.

Controls Engineer

Position Overview:

IAC is a 32-year-old EPC Contractor, Capital Equipment supplier, and OEM, and Parts and Service supplier located in Mission, KS.

As an EPC / Turnkey Industrial Contractor, IAC, in conjunction with our wholly own construction company, Adelphi Construction perform $10 million up to $150 million projects within North America, Latin America, and Mexico.

Complete electrical design of electrical systems, electrical installation design, and control system design. The Electrical Engineer will work across a variety of functional groups that are directly involved in engineering and implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Utilize applicable engineering national and local codes (NFPA 70E).
  • Develop and/or review electrical schematics.
  • Programmable logic controllers (PLC) both hardware selection and software development.
  • Control System panel and cabinet design to NFPA, UL 508A, and standards.
  • Controls & instrumentation; sensor selection and setup.
  • PLC Ladder Logic, State Logic Design
  • Human Machine Interface (HMI) design and troubleshooting.
  • Review specifications, drawings and vendor equipment documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings as required.
  • Organize, integrate, review, and approve buyout parts and devices.
  • Organize, develop, and maintain drawings and bills of materials.
  • Coordinate with project management to ensure compliance with the project schedule.
  • Interact with other IAC departments, customers, and suppliers as required for technical support of the business.
  • Ability to work without supervision, with latitude for independent action and decision making.

Business Development Representative – Account Development

Position Overview:

IAC, Industrial Accessories Company, Mission, KS is looking for a dynamic Business Development professional. In this role, you will work with the business development, marketing, aftermarket parts, and field services groups.

This role requires a highly self-motivated individual who can quickly become familiar with a wide range of equipment, replacement parts, and field services for promotion in the industrial marketplace. This position is non-commission and supports our sales team in lead generation.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct targeted business-to-business outbound calls, averaging 350 a week.
  • Qualify leads for large projects, replacement parts, and field services while leveraging marketing messages.
  • Schedule meetings for the field service sales team.
  • Conduct research on targeted industries and/or projects.
  • Meet and exceed weekly lead quota.
