Induction Hardened

Specialized Heat Induction Hardening raises the materials` Brinell hardness, making it highly abrasion resistant.

Induction hardened wear elbows / pipe are process treated so that the inner surfaces of the wear pipe are hardened to 600 Brinell (BHN) or 55-65 Rockwell (HRC). This special process (see below) provides progressive hardness through the wall of the pipe / elbow also yielding an outside hardness of 250 Brinnel (BHN) or 20-30 Rockwell (HRC). This translates into longer lasting service life for convey lines on pneumatic systems, with the added benefit of simplified installation and change-out. Available in carbon, stainless and alloys, in diameters from 2.5” to 40” NPS (73.0 – 1016.0mm), in Standard and Extra Heavy wall thicknesses, with pipe lengths of up to 40’, and bend angles all the way to 180°.
